Growing your own fruit and veg is one of the most rewarding things you can do in the garden. There’s nothing quite like a delicious supper made from tasty seasonal produce you’ve planted and tended yourself. Getting together with other people increases the benefits we experience; providing social contact and improving our physical and mental well-being. Community growing can provide a good source of environmentally sound, healthy, locally sourced food and make this more readily available to local people. The following resources include local community allotment groups, community orchards, tips for getting started, websites for buying seeds and plants, as well aslinks to various How To Guides… It’s time to get your hands dirty!
PS. Please send us any resources you think we should include.
